Floating Ink

Apparatus:

• Plate.
• White Board Markers.
• Water.

Method:

1. Our teacher showed us the apparatus for the experiment.
2. We drew shapes on the plate using the white board markers.
3. Our teacher poured the water slowly onto the plate.

Results:

A small amount of ink lifted with the water. Our teacher told us that all of the ink should have lifted and the shapes should have floated on the water.

We tried the experiment again, using a different white board marker but it was unsuccessful.
