These Clothes were made for Wearing - Sustainability

These Clothes are made for Wearing L1LP Short Course

We helped make the world a better place by running a 2nd hand clothes shop. It was hard work - all the students were busy advertising, sorting donations, setting up and running the shop on the day. Afterwards we sorted out any left over clothes. We recycled some and took others to the charity shop in Newtown.

It was worth the effort as we all made some great purchases - Jane bought Lucy’s old coat, Eileen bought baby clothes and Leon bought all his Christmas presents for his family!

Thank you to the whole school community for supporting our project. We made 120 euro to spend on books. A special thank you to Lucy’s Mum for making us beautiful bags from scrap material to sell, to Brigeeta for lending us her clothes rails and to Niamh H whose idea it was in the first place.
