O'What a Day on the 23rd of May

Incredible days take a huge community effort and that's exactly what we had yesterday. We would like to thank anybody who helped out in any way to make our 50th celebrations such a wonderful event for everyone.

The Verve for donating the deck chairs, gazebos, bean bags and parasols which enriched the atmosphere of the garden party.

Gaelscoil Inbhear Mor for kindly lending us their marquee.

Michael & Vicky O'Leary for their incredible donation of their time across 2 days putting up and taking down the marquee, ably assisted by the staff team.

Our volunteer gardeners Emma & Vincent, and our volunteer painters who have the place looking smashing.

The family and friends of Anne Reburn (staff member) who donated the celebration cake along with some fabulous bunting and decorations as a gesture of appreciation for all the love, encouragement and support their treasured Vicky got from everyone in St Catherine's, during her time with us.

Fresh Today for their very generous donation of refreshments on the day.

The Coffee Place, Newtown for providing cakes and sweet treats.

Peter and the band, Brendan Kennedy for his all round entertainment and sound system, Liam Kinsella who helped us respectfully remember those of our school community who lost their lives on our darkest day.

All visitors on the day. It was fantastic to see so many of you enjoy an incredible trip down memory lane.

Our past pupils who brought back with them a lifetime of fantastic memories. Your energy on the dance floor was incredible.

Past staff members who shared some incredible stories of years gone by.

Parents and family members of our students (past and present) for their kind words of appreciation and encouragement. Your support is valued dearly.

Our school Lámh to Dance group and Singing group were the stars of the show. You should be so proud.

Fr Des for offering a heartfelt blessing to all. Fr Bernardo and Fr Smith who attended also to help us celebrate.

Pat Cooke across the road for helping us out with parking on the day.

St David's School Greystones. Once again these incredible young people were on hand (on the first day on their summer holidays) to help us out with parking and road safety.

The Greystones Guide for sending a photographer to capture many wonder moments on the day. We are so grateful for your efforts to publicise the marvellous events in our school each year.

Brendan Whelan for his kind words on behalf of the school's Patron, St Catherine's Association.

Padraig Rushe and members of our school's Board of Management. It is wonderful to have such an active, hard working board who are willing to support all our school initiatives. Thank you for your support and encouragement in helping us to make this momentous occasion a day to remember for all.

Every staff member who painted a wall, planted flowers, boiled kettles, served tea a coffees, hung bunting, served cake, unscrewed one of the thousands of nuts and bolts in the marquee (especially in the rain yesterday- team bonding at its finest) gathered old photos, made our beautiful keepsake candles, reached out to everyone to try share the open invitation to our school community- past and present, organised every little detail to make sure the event ran smoothly. The trojan work you do every day never goes unnoticed and is truly appreciated by all.

Noel Mooney, our school caretaker, who goes over and above every day but worked tirelessly for weeks now getting everything ready. We are so very grateful for everything you do for us.

Kilcoole Thrift Shop who surprised us on the day with a very generous donation towards the running costs of our school bus. We are eternally grateful to all those who continue to support our school with such generous donations.
